Here we have a first look at the GS size of the Air Jordan XI Concord, and clearly there isn’t much to comment on with the exception of the smaller size scale. One thing to note is the possible packaging on the Concord XI; the last two Air Jordan XI releases featured the special slide-out box with the plastic encasing, but the GS sizes came housed in a regular Jordan Brand box.
The Jordan 2011Q Flight uses a unique combination of full-grain leather and Hyperfuse technology for the upper, giving it a timeless Jordan feel but still utilizing the latest and greatest technology to make performance a priority. Speaking of performance, the Q Flight uses Zoom Air cushioning in both the heel and forefoot, combined with a phylon midsole for lightweight and responsive cushioning. To tie in some more heritage, the Q Flight uses a uniquely designed Elephant Print tread pattern for traction.
Infrared is a widely popular colorway, particularly when splashed on an Air Jordan shoe, and the glossy upper materials would’ve made these already-eye-catching kicks even more pop. Unfortunately, these never hit shelves as they were destined for a Spring 2009 release.
This August 20th will be the release of the Air Jordan V Black/Metallic Silver, and in addition to releasing in men and GS kids sizes, these will also be available for the smaller members of your family in PS and Toddler scales as well. Nothing more heartwarming than a father, mother, son, and daughter wearing matching Jordans, so if you’re looking to deck your entire family with some clean kicks, the Black/Metallic Silver Air Jordan V is a great option. Again, these won’t hit stores officially until two Saturdays from now.
This unreleased sample version of the Air Jordan V ‘Green Bean’ features a full nubuck upper instead of the full-3M, with the reflective material located only on the customary tongue position. Perhaps Jordan Brand wanted to kick it up a notch for this release, a decision that was well-received by Air Jordan fans all-around. Fortunately, for those who might prefer the nubuck, the recently released ‘Wolf Grey’ Air Jordan V was a nice fill-in for that spot.
The Hawaii-native’s piece, titled The Makamakaole Gultch Man, features a boy clad in a Michael Jordan Bulls jersey and the Air Jordan VIII Aqua riding a tree shrub of some sort, which is riding a bicycle. The ‘Shadow’ colorway of the Air Jordan X was worn by MJ when the Bulls took on the Charlotte Hornets in the first round of the 1995 Playoffs, but interestingly enough, this Promo Sample pair doesn’t feature Michael’s ’45′ stitched on the upper. These promo samples are also a size 13, so it is quite possible that these were meant for Jordan to wear, but that remains to be seen.
The third stop of the Jordan Brand‘s Flight Tour of China took them to Hangzhou, where Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade joined Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul on a scenic boat tour along the picturesque West Lake on the first day. On the tour, the players learned about the history of the lake, while admiring the architecture, gardens and temples that surround it.
